With a staggering £208 million jackpot up for grabs in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw, lottery fever is sweeping the nation. But incredibly, players across the UK have already hit winning numbers in past draws – and still haven’t come forward.

From £1 million Lotto and EuroMillions prizes to a £500,000 Thunderball windfall, a total of £5,606,738.50 million in National Lottery winnings remains unclaimed. Despite life-changing wins, some ticket-holders may be unaware they’re already millionaires.

To highlight what remains unclaimed, the online lotto team at BoyleSports has compiled a full breakdown of the biggest outstanding prizes from recent Lotto, Thunderball, and EuroMillions draws – all waiting for their rightful owners to step forward before the deadlines expire.

    Collecting Your Winnings

The process for claiming your lottery prize depends on how much you’ve won. If your prize is £500 or less, it’s quick and simple – just head to any authorised National Lottery retailer (like your local supermarket or newsagent) to collect it.

If you’ve won over £50,000 or secured a Set For Life prize involving monthly payments, you’ll need to take a more formal route. In these cases, call the National Lottery on 0333 234 50 50 to start your claim and arrange payment.

How Long Do You Have to Claim?

Winners have 180 days (about six months) from the date of the draw to claim their prize. After that deadline, unclaimed prizes – including any interest earned – are donated to National Lottery-funded community projects across the UK. So if you’ve got an old ticket lying around, it’s worth checking before time runs out.

Lost or Damaged Your Ticket? There’s Still Hope

Even if your ticket has gone missing or been damaged, you might not be out of luck. You can submit a claim appeal within 30 days of the draw date. The National Lottery investigates each case individually – so it’s definitely worth putting in a request, especially if you have any evidence of your purchase.
